What is the recognition of community leadership Ecuador Grows with You?

It is an initiative of the Fundación Ecuador Crece Contigo (Ecuador Grows with You Foundation) that arises to make visible, strengthen and promote leadership committed to community welfare and the prevention and reduction of chronic child malnutrition. Its purpose is to highlight those who promote innovative, sustainable and culturally relevant initiatives, capable of transforming realities and opening paths towards a fairer and healthier future for the children of Ecuador. Recognized community leaders are not just award winners: they are agents of change who inspire, mobilize and strengthen their communities.

Who can participate?

It is aimed at people who promote positive changes in their communities and who have the support of an organization, collective or Decentralized Autonomous Government (GAD) that endorses their application.

The recognition focuses on the parish and rural levels, especially in those territories facing challenges related to access to safe water, adequate food, education and health.

Participant eligibility criteria

  • Be over 18 years of age.

  • Belonging to the community where he promotes his leadership.

  • The initiative has been active for at least one year.

  • Present the endorsement of an organization, community, collective or GAD and not be an elected authority or public official.

What it consists of and how it is delivered

This recognition seeks to inspire more people to exercise positive leadership in their communities and to build healthier environments through innovative, sustainable initiatives that have an impact on the well-being of the country's children.

It includes the award of a statuette and resources for scholarships, technical training or international exchange.

Incentive detail

  • Gold harvest:  up to $5,000.

  • Silver planting: up to $3,500.

  • Bronze seed:  up to $1,500.
